"With great precision, I select significant objects/materials that possess a certain charge and build further upon them in compositions hybrids of found objects and creations using, among other things, DNA-bearing material from family, such as hair, nails, and chewing gum. This can lead to new encounters with multiple layers and contexts finding meeting points where past and present converge in my objects." I have been working with questions such as when life begins/ends, when life transitions into death, what is life/non-life, or if it is a constantly ongoing process? I am exploring the conditions for the beginning of life, which has led to a deeper dive into DNA and bacteria. Everything goes back to the progenote and life has probably come into existence just once. Bacteria is one of three domains which all cell-based life on earth is divided into. We, the humans, consist of a combination of 2 bacteria. 3,5 billion years old fossilized cyano bacteria (bluegreen algae) is the oldest proof of life and they enabled the start for the evolution of life on earth. Most of them are unicelled but several form colonies which often are surrounded by a common jelly catch. Some species of bacteria secrete mucus which they spin along upon, a material which is present at crucial life situations; procreation, birth and death. According to the humorism of ancient time, mucus is one of the four Hippocratic body fluids."

"Med stor noggrannhet väljer jag ut betydelsefulla objekt/material som har laddning och bygger vidare i sammansättningar, hybrider, av funna föremål och skapande med bland annat DNA-bärande material från familjen såsom hår, naglar och tuggummi. Det kan leda till nya möten med flera lager och sammanhang hitta mötespunkter där dåtid och samtid strålar samman i mina objekt. Jag har arbetat med frågor som när uppstår/upphör liv, när övergår livet till döden, vad är liv/icke liv eller är det en ständigt pågående process? Jag utforskar förhållandena för livets början vilket har lett till fördjupning i DNA och bakterier; Allt går tillbaka till urcellen och liv har förmodligen bara uppstått en gång. Bacteria är en av tre domäner som allt cellbaserat liv på jorden delas in i, vi människor består av en kombination av 2 bakterier. 3,5 miljarder år gamla fossiliserade cyanobakterier (blågröna alger) är det äldsta beviset på liv och de möjliggjorde starten för livets utveckling på jorden. De flesta är encelliga men många bildar kolonier som då ofta omsluts av ett gemensamt geléhölje. Några arter av bakterier utsöndrar slem som de glider fram på, ett material som är närvarande vid avgörande livssituationer; fortplantning, födsel och död.
